Denver SEO Knox – Reputation Management, SEO, iPhones & Stuff

The site that we don’t talk about was kicked off early on Monday and wow – I got a bit overwhelmed.

Over 3,200 page loads.  (The number of uniques were already anticipated)  Granted, the number isn’t earth shattering for a site like that but keep in mind the small member base.  Also considering day one of any launch is pretty hairy for any webmaster so Read the rest of this entry »

First of all, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  I was lucky to enjoy two dinners today, one with my family and another with my sidekick and friends.

Second, I know I’ve talked about Fight Club (and that’s a bad thing).  So, the day before launch I’d like to thank some friends that helped tune it a bit, find some glitches and so forth. Read the rest of this entry »

Sarasota MLS Stress Toy

November - 16 - 2008

If it’s frustrating doing a Google search for Sarasota MLS and seein’ a Real Estate Board that doesn’t even have an MLS search feature at the top then here’s a little help.

It’s pretty misleading to the general public to land upon a website whose owners are intent on lying to the public, Read the rest of this entry »

SEO Fight Club “Opens” Soon

November - 15 - 2008

I’ve written about the Fight Club and wanted to show that it’s a real thing.  I don’t write about SEO on this blog as often as expected and that was for a reason.

Instead of giving everything away to the world I’m keeping it underground and Read the rest of this entry »

Knox “Logo” Changes Explained

November - 11 - 2008

The “logo” on this site has changed over time.

Actually, it’s not a logo – I don’t want a little drawing to represent me or what I do.  What I have up there is just a symbol and I’ll explain the evolution and it’s beginning.

I’ll start with the end:  Below is a frame series from the Read the rest of this entry »

EBA, Fight Club, Blogroll and Odds

November - 10 - 2008

The URL of this domain is odd, I know.  I REALLY don’t want to change it for the links built are natural, from blogs and tech forums and the nightmare of emailing… you get the idea.

I’m seasoning other urls for the “business” side of this as some know but I’m still left with this obscure domain.

In a way I like it, I can use it to prove that “keywords in your domain give an unfair advantage” arguments are silly.

First, this domain means nothing.  It’s a collection of letters that Google use to interpret as a misspelling for “web”.  I knew this because Tyler Durden knew this. Read the rest of this entry »

Well, it is uber cool.  Maybe you got a head cold.  Maybe you just didn’t feel like talking much – I dunno.  I’m going to sleep on trying to figure out what the dolls in this video represented…:) Read the rest of this entry »

Obama Supporters

November - 6 - 2008

This president-elect is not the Messiah. He is not going to “raise the consciousness of the planet” or “change the world”.

He is one man, just a man who will be Chief Executive of one nation. (Yes, one nation under God).

Please remember the values this country was founded upon. And in the future, please be honest enough to realize and brave enough to admit to any “change” that deviates from those values. Read the rest of this entry »

Twitter Makes Communities Tighter

November - 4 - 2008

Those that follow me on Twitter know I don’t use it to advertise.  I don’t shout out “What I’m doing” very often or take irrelevant pictures of my food.  Instead, and to the annoyance of some that will not follow me after learning this (and I’m fine with that), I use it to talk WITH people, not TO them.

Against the ideas of Darren Rowse in his new blog (the ProBlogger guy) who tries to keep us from broadcasting “one-sided telephone calls” that annoy 99% of your followers, I do use it for chat. Not exhausting conversations but to at least converse! Read the rest of this entry »

The victim of the Sarasota MLS domain snatching by Helen Sosso and her ASSociation of REALTORS has spoken out.  Marc has listed the time line of events so world understands, without SAR-Spin the true events of this theft.

Good job Marc!  Just the fact that you will address this publicly shows where your ethics truly lie, unlike the MLS board you pay to supporrt you.

Read the detailed but very inportant facts here at his Sarasota Real Estate Blog.

Piracy.  Plain and simple.

Pirates Helen Sosso (Sarasota Association of Realtors president) and Kathy Roberts (SAR CEO) decided they wanted the online authority of another website – a site owned by Marc Rasmussen. Read the rest of this entry »

I had no idea that MySpace presents Amber Alerts.  I logged into my Denver Profile this morning and it showed me this.  It gives a good amount of info.  Though MySpace is gimmicky and abused, this is a nice service.

Regardless, take in the Alert. Read the rest of this entry »

  • ‘Ping’ – Sounds Like ‘Bring’

    January - 15 - 2008

WordPress by default will let Ping-o-matic know you have updated posts and then ping a few other services.
A ‘Ping’ is a basic program that lets you verify that a particular Internet address exists and can accept requests. The verb ping in the Blog world means the act of notifying a service you have updated content.
    So [...]

  • Graywolf Blog Hacked – Shared Feeling Of Rape

    January - 17 - 2007

I feel bad for Graywolf being hacked. He was on the hitlist of a proclaimed white hat seo. After this happened to me I understand the “icky feeling” of being violated.
You gave me the notice I needed to update my stuff, thanks for that, at least.

  • Sarasota MLS

    October - 19 - 2008

    The Sarasota Misguided Loser Squad
You may notice that I added a ‘SARjacking’ Badge to my sidebar. This is to support a movement – one that all Real Estate professionals on the web need to be aware of.  Please read about the Sarasota MLS board and how they have stolen a successful domain from one of [...]

  • The Home Page Dilemma

    December - 17 - 2006

Ever notice that websites’ most relevant information is often times a click or two away from the home page? There’s a contact page, an about page, services or product page, etc.
After all these supporting sub-pages are written, businesses seem to be scratching their heads.

  • Denver SEO & Reputation Management

    December - 20 - 2007

Wow, I really do go a while without writing about SEO. So while I mostly throw out tips and toys I need to remind myself (you?) that I run a Reputation Management network from Denver and I’m pretty much the only real SEO in Denver.
Though there are some others with “SEO packages” they really [...]

  • Madonna Concert in Denver – Knox VIP

    August - 7 - 2008

I have 2 front floor tickets available for the Denver Madonna world tour concert in November.
Oh come on – the show will rock! She’s never performed in Denver, so it’s a kind of a big deal here – if you’re into that.
Ok – This concert sold out in less than a half hour and [...]

  • Denver Web Design – Knox Split Part 2

    September - 7 - 2008

Another update about this site getting split up a little.
Today “knoxing.com” is up – it’s totally unrefined but at least it’s there now.  It’s the Denver Web Design part of the Knox Solutions Co-op.

  • Risking It All With My Secrets

    December - 6 - 2006

Though most people here are to learn about SEO or to just see what my opinions are from day to day, I am always weighing how much information I should offer. Some people have told me “careful not to say too much” but I think it’s fair to share.
    To show that I’m a nice [...]

  • Turkey in Turkey A Digital Tagger

    November - 14 - 2006

So this morning about 8am I got hacked. I admit it. But just as I drive an extremely fast car, I also admit to getting some speeding tickets – it goes with the territory. Anyway – first thing I noticed this morning upon clicking to this site was that I ended [...]
