I made a simple iPhone site for myself and some friends have found it useful so I’m sharing the link now.

Basically, it’s just a quick way to access information about the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The live dispatch is actually a combined feed from the Douglas County Sheriff, Lone Tree PD, Parker PD and Castle Rock PD. The other resources just lists various departments to find out bail amounts, if your friend is in jail, what lawyers will work best for you, how to make a complaint and so on.

The only novel thing I’ve done is make the Dispatch play in the background, so you can work on other tasks without interrupting the sound. Adding it to your iPhone home screen will leave a badge icon.

Here’s the link to what I’m oh-so-originally calling iDCSO. There are some Apps in the iTunes store that have police feeds, but the Douglas County Sheriff doesn’t provide a dispatch feed to them, this was basically my work around.
