Hey Knox, I found your blog while searching for Twitter news. It took me to a post you made last year. Just wanted to say that I spent the last 20 minutes reading your blog and have really enjoyed it.

And as Lamborghini goes, they know who thier market is and do a great job of advertising to it.

Thanks for sharing that ad, it was hilarious!

I also like the question, "Ready to ride."

Every good salesman who sells widgets knows it's always good to get the customer to HOLD the object. It creates a sense of already owning it. For a WEBSITE, clicking on YES makes one feel committed to the object--that's how humans work. It's like thousands of years of wisdom wrapped up at the wedding moment when a bride says, "I do."

You're committed. Who's going to click on NO??!! Anyone who goes to the site is going to click on YES. It's actually brilliant. It forces everyone to say "I do."

Why do I care about this....

I completely see both points. Though, Patrick, your response is well thought out, I have to say Chris is just freakin' funny.

Sounds like ball-phobia to me.

I think it's smart. Lamborghini sells to titans of industry--not docs or lawyers. People who purchase them are typically rich dudes, masters of their niche. The bull is a force, a machine, a challange. Lamborghini owners like the "challenge" that the bull signifies.

Would it be more "straight" and less gay to have a frog as the logo. How about a bird. We all know how hard it is to harness birds--and there are no balls to make anyone uncomfortable.
