Taking a break from the single digit temperatures in Denver and Christmas shopping I met a realtor friend at my usual office – Starbucks.
I met him at a real estate conference earlier this year in Canada not knowing he lived in Denver. I hope Brian comes by more often – the free wi-fi and shared goals of increasing our web presence should be enough.
Merry Christmas, Brian -I hope your real estate business in Denver takes off!
Yes, I say Christmas.
Here are my Christmas gift recommendations this year. They span several genres and I wouldn’t recommend them if I weren’t a happy customer myself.
Feet Pajamas! No matter how macho you are, you know you want them. It’s 3 degrees as I write this and yes, I’m wearing flannel feet pajamas.
Apple MacBook – Best laptop out there that fits in your lap while having ample power. Best of all, it’s a Mac.
SandiCast Dogs – Have a dog or love someone who does? The little statues are very lifelike. I keep one on my desk and serves as a reminder to walk the little guy when I get hyper-focused on projects.
Stolen Lives – This book by John Sileo gives you what’s needed to protect your identity. John’s a good guy and considered an expert on Identity theft world-wide.
The Roush Charger – Not for everyone, first they need a Mustang. It’s a twin-root super charger and doesn’t void your car’s warranty while boosting to 510 hp and 500 torque! Everything needed to chew up Corvettes and Porsches. (change your gear set if you use this) Sometime ricers aren’t enough.
The iPhone Webapp Template – An seo’s best bang for buck. Get an Apple link AND provide great usefulness. Ok, this one is mine, but it’s still a great idea:)
I wrote about an seo fraud in Denver several months back. I was thinking about placing a video there about the seo speaker that was selling his inept seo services on that post admitting to a fraud.
I’m writing this post to place another web property out there to use if this professional speaker may defraud another of his seo “clients” by using my name.
Everyone, thanks for your patience with me for posting such silly little things once in a while, but I must do it.
I do know the person I am hinting at does read my blog. I suggest you retire from seo and return from whence you came.
I gave him fair warning, the grace is gone.
I’ve written a few posts about the MLS and have found myself ranking for Denver MLS in search engines, about page two (never written about that one). I’m simply writing this little post to see how competitive the result is in the Denver area.
Real estate is typically pretty competitive, and the top results are a combination of net savvy realtors and retained seo’s working on the real estate site.
So, I want to see where this blog ends up when it isn’t really a real estate site, just has a few posts about the MLS, and not the one in Denver. I’ll start with this base article and see what I can do externally as a test. In a month or so I’ll have learned some things.
A friend of mine in Louisville sent me a video today that just had me rollin’ in laughter. For anyone working on the net this will crack you up. The number of little jokes, nerd humor, frustrations and client assumptions are amazing. This poor guy can’t even play Halo without getting interrupted. Thanks Scott!
Today we hit 17 degrees and it snowed all day! A couple times on the phone I found myself saying “I need my beach”. I mentioned I’m getting rid of the ‘ol party pad in Destin (see my pics in the menu) and sliding it, with some maturity to a Condo in Gulf Shores.
So, while the snow fell outside my window today I cruised this real estate site for something Read the rest of this entry »
The site that we don’t talk about was kicked off early on Monday and wow – I got a bit overwhelmed.
Over 3,200 page loads. (The number of uniques were already anticipated) Granted, the number isn’t earth shattering for a site like that but keep in mind the small member base. Also considering day one of any launch is pretty hairy for any webmaster so Read the rest of this entry »
