Knox Site Change – Part 1

September - 1 - 2008 Share

I’ve told you all that this site is getting restructured.  Today, the home page actually goes to my SEO page.  WOW – what a concept for an SEO site… i know (groan).

Edit – This is actually going to fluctuate a while due to some back-end issues.

On the top menu you will see a link to my blog page.  This is step one to what I mentioned last month about changing things around because of the fragmented mix of SEO, iPhones and basic blog opinion articles.

So, thanks for realizing this change and sticking around.

  1. Great to see you moving forward with your site, and segregating the SEO information away from the IPhones and the none SEO opinion stuff.

    Keep plugging away.

    Hey Convent,

Man it’s hard to keep pluggin’ on my own sites when client sites aren’t finished – I have a guilt thing going…

So, you headed to the REW conference?

  • Failed SEOs Become “Web Marketers”

    March - 28 - 2007

There’s nothing wrong with increasing traffic to a website by making it genuinely informative and sufficiently alluring to attract links from other websites and bloggers! I don’t decry the practice of boosting, I’M AN SEO! HOWEVER, I do object to the means that some firms and people use to achieve it. I’ve written on the [...]

  • iPad Works For Web Guys – Closer to Laptop Than SmartPhone

    June - 8 - 2010

First of all, the iPad is NOT just a big iPhone as droid fans and those who don’t have an iPad may say. This device, with a few apps and familiarity with the iPhone interface is closer to a laptop (for me) than it is any smartphone. To evaluate it and see if it’s a [...]

  • iPhone With Testosterone

    July - 4 - 2007

So I was away for a few days. Yes, I was playing with my new toy. Go get your girly gooey gadget (I did) but don’t cry when you drop it – the scuffs and scratches may do just that! I KNOW! EVERYONE is blogging about the iPhone. I’m not. Yes, this device is wonderful [...]

  • Holiday Escape Without Bruises

    December - 6 - 2007

Yes, I’ve been a little busy. I’ve had a few “Where are you’s”, “Are you dead’s?” and such. No – I’m still kickin’ around but did have to take a bloggin’ break to finish some projects. I learned to NOT announce my breaks for that’s when I seem to get hacked….. As well as finishing [...]

  • Dictating SEO Strategy To Your SEO – BAD Idea

    December - 27 - 2006

Nikola Tesla gave us AC power transmission, the coil transformer, wireless communication and hundreds of other inventions. Tesla was not only an inventor and electrical engineer but was also a great visual thinker. He could “see” an entire system in his head and often didn’t test his ideas in a lab. If he tested them [...]

  • Social Networking – Knox Style

    January - 24 - 2009

Ok ok ok.  Not what you’d think but I had a good time, so it’s worth it.  Last night I sent a tweet saying “Hey, meet us for a drink and I’ll talk about ya” and a couple showed up. A friend named Jim who’s a Calgary real estate agent showed his desire too, but [...]

  • Flip Mino HD, YouTube, Encoding Tutorial

    December - 30 - 2008

Rich media such as as video on a website is something we all want, don’t you?  But quality equipment usually doesn’t lend itself to an amateur. The Flip Mino HD is most likely the easiest to use HD camcorder out there.  It’s smaller than my iPhone, captures great HD video and high quality sound.  It’s [...]

(The templates DO WORK with the new iPhone 4 and newest iOS and ‘droids’.) If you want to create a web app for your iPhone or port a current site that actually looks and behaves like an actual iPhone app, then look no further. Two ways to build iPhone webapps: Code it with a template [...]
