Knoxing – App Development, SEO, iPhones & Stuff

Starbucks is the second office to many, especially me. It’s great for meetings and banter. The atmosphere is wonderful and caters to the family as well. My iPhone gives me the opportunity to capture the oddities of my town while appearing to be working. SEO is a little more difficult than what this confused lady has shown. Attention online is one thing but real life is another. Sure, a controversial or shocking story works and gathers eyeballs in both worlds. I think I need another caffeine fix.

Looks like they added hot mama lattes

  2. While on vacation in April I spent the first hour or two of the day at Starbucks, taking advantage of the internet connection, returning e-mails, and watching the people come and go.

    It actually was very entertaining.

  • Denver Now Calming Down from Creepy Black Helicopter Scare

    June - 23 - 2008

Last week while scanning logs for this blog I saw something odd, a large number of hits for search terms relating to “Denver” and “black helicopters”. I had no idea that military exercises were taking place over downtown Denver in preparation for the DNC convention at the time but the people let me know via [...]

I made a simple iPhone site for myself and some friends have found it useful so I’m sharing the link now. Basically, it’s just a quick way to access information about the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. The live dispatch is actually a combined feed from the Douglas County Sheriff, Lone Tree PD, Parker PD and [...]

  • Twitter Makes Communities Tighter

    November - 4 - 2008

Those that follow me on Twitter know I don’t use it to advertise.  I don’t shout out “What I’m doing” very often or take irrelevant pictures of my food.  Instead, and to the annoyance of some that will not follow me after learning this (and I’m fine with that), I use it to talk WITH [...]

  • SEO’s, Webmasters – Protect Client Content

Update your copyright notice. WordPress users, depending on your theme – your copyright may be echoed and you don’t need to worry. Studiomae.com is a small design company in South Denver that is truly unique.  I met these people at a coffee shop and at first glance I thought they were competitors.  After some talking and meeting the principals I found that we are very different. Media with a conscience is how they describe their company.  Jeremy [...]

Ok, my plate is pretty full so this isn’t a grand post. Below is a snapshot of my current desktop – you see I’m pretty busy. Even with Mac OSX’s great filing system you can still easily fill your desk (and month) with work. Instead of meat, I’ll give a splash of entertainment tonight. Looking [...]

  • Graywolf Blog Hacked – Shared Feeling Of Rape

    January - 17 - 2007

I feel bad for Graywolf being hacked. He was on the hitlist of a proclaimed white hat seo. After this happened to me I understand the “icky feeling” of being violated. You gave me the notice I needed to update my stuff, thanks for that, at least. Before he even realized it had happened to [...]

  • Online Brochures Redundant Failures

    December - 15 - 2006

Try it – ask a business “why do you want a brochure?” and they will just stare at you like you just said something you weren’t supposed to bring up. A brochure is a given – a standard procedure, a marketing cliché. This is why so many websites are failures – they are no more [...]
