Quick iPhone Template Answer

February - 23 - 2008 Share

I have a few requests that should have been included in the iPhone app template so here it is. How to add “content” to the home page before or within the menu.

Here are some methods using the Greatest Real Estate Agent in the World app for an example.

“Doug” bought me a few beers so I thought I’d help add this. Now, EVERYONE LEARN FROM DOUG’S EXAMPLE

To add an image insert code before the menu list.

And looks like:

To add text, use the built in class and add it to that menu page. (This is so your text has some padding)

And it looks like:

Play around, make some money too. AdSense units fit nicely:) Be sure to insert your code BEFORE the /ul> for the page you want the ad/image/content to appear.

  • Google Indents – Doubles Are Good!

    December - 12 - 2007

The coveted “double listing” or “indents” on a Google SERP is not an accident or just plain luck. Site architecture and link strategies working in concert is what will reward you with a double listing. More importantly it will generate more visits to your site – that means more money!
    But why stop there? [...]

  • Chris, Denver Graphic Dude – Going Solo

    January - 21 - 2009

I’m announcing, officially, that Chris is now freelancing. For those that don’t know who I’m talking about, Chris is the talent behind any of the images I’ve used that were actually any good.
I know I’m not an artist and Chris has been the guy that works on client sites for me.  He’s a good [...]

  • PageRankPimp, Splogger – Bites The Dust

    March - 11 - 2008

Frustrated with the same scraper splog for a while, pagerankpimp.com (many of you have noticed this in your Wordpress dashboard) – I’m happy to see they have apparently been nuked. Hopefully the efforts I’ve put forth finding others scraped by them have resulted in their AdSense account being banned; hence their removing the splog, [...]

  • I’m Lucky, I Know – Fort Knox

    January - 13 - 2008

For those who groan at braggadociuos posts just move on. (Most likely to a different site)

Several days ago I threw up a video on Denver in 3D using Google Earth. Coincidentally, I experienced the same thing personally yesterday.
Yes, this is skite, but there’s nothing like being picked up in a helicopter by a beauty and [...]

  • Adsense – Sure, It’s YOUR $

    March - 25 - 2007

I’ve said I’m not having adsense on this blog, but with the added traffic over the last week, well, I take it back. Plus I had to remove it from another site, grrrr. I am NOT asking anyone to click on them! Don’t do it!!
Hi Lenny – see you took my advise [...]

  • Seo’s vs. Spammers (Cowards)

    January - 29 - 2007

Doorway pages that redirect us without explanation, synthetic pages auto-generated by software, pages like toilet paper containing nothing but links, pages without exits except an ad to click, pages with ads disguised as menus, pages containing long lists of every conceivable search query but no information.
The only thing these web pages have in common is [...]

  • Denver MLS for Real Estate

    December - 11 - 2008

I’ve written a few posts about the MLS and have found myself ranking for Denver MLS in search engines, about page two (never written about that one).  I’m simply writing this little post to see how competitive the result is in the Denver area.
Real estate is typically pretty competitive, and the top results are a [...]

  • Denver Web Design – Knox Split Part 2

    September - 7 - 2008

Another update about this site getting split up a little.
Today “knoxing.com” is up – it’s totally unrefined but at least it’s there now.  It’s the Denver Web Design part of the Knox Solutions Co-op.
Ok – it’s Web Design, SEO, iPhones and my rants.  I’m getting there. Eventually, all things “EBA” will be “Knox”.  Oh, what’s [...]

Ok ok ok.  Not what you’d think but I had a good time, so it’s worth it.  Last night I sent a tweet saying “Hey, meet us for a drink and I’ll talk about ya” and a couple showed up. A friend named Jim who’s a Calgary real estate agent showed his desire too, but [...]

  • Retaining Readers By Adding Content

    January - 2 - 2008

2007 is over. I’ve added the 4th Quarter ‘Bragstat’ below, with markers of when I posted here. The purpose though isn’t to say “look at my #’s” but to remind everyone that posting new content brings past readers back to your blog.

Bottom line is that if your site goes stale, so will [...]
