Moving On

May - 10 - 2007 Share

I rarely retract the truth, but am withdrawing this article because of the ethical choices made by the article subject. Everyone makes mistakes, and I’ve needed 2nd (3rd, 4th, 5th…) chances too. All comments from before are off as well. Thanks diggers, let me know if you ever need recip. In case you’re here to see something else, I’ve added some eye-candy.

  • Short List To Unique Blogs

    June - 5 - 2007

A tech savvy viewer won’t give you any credibility if your blog looks like everything else.
Get a unique look. I love this wordpress template generator. No, I wouldn’t use its generated template as a theme, but it’s a great way to experiment with colors and gain inspiration. If you find something you [...]

  • People Empowered By Web, Not Business

    January - 25 - 2007

Business does not drive the web, people do.
Most businesses miss this, and in part, what I believe, contributed to the Dot.com implosion. Companies saw the web only as a new marketing opportunity to sell more widgets.
While companies were pushing out their brochure-ware, the people – not customers or consumers, but the people saw the [...]

  • America is Truly Awesome

    September - 11 - 2008

September 11.  Instead of showing what you will see everywhere else – a reminder of the attacks in video form (though some want to believe this was an “inside job”), I’m posting an article I saved from about a year ago.  Greg Walker is (was) a Rutgers College sophomore and full credit for this goes [...]

  • c|net – “Knox Has a Reputation”

    December - 15 - 2007

I was emailed today and notified I was mentioned on c|net. Cool – my template for iPhone web apps was the story.
Executive Editor, Tom Merritt at c|net networks says that I “have a reputation”, have “great friendly hacker tools” and that I’ve “been around a while”.

I’m happy to have been featured for the kudos [...]

  • Web 2.0 In Plain English

    November - 26 - 2006

You’ve heard it, you wonder what it is, yet you don’t ask. (I understand, you would sound silly)
Web 2.0 is a new animal, a new kind of web build – a new experience. Wikipedia defines Web 2.0 as a “second generation of services available over the World Wide Web that lets people collaborate [...]

  • A Bust Gut & Clean Colon

    May - 13 - 2008

This morning started light. I blog, so I also read blogs. Sometime I cross a headline that makes my dog wonder what’s wrong with me as his ears perk up while I spontaneously bust out laughing.
Two of them here. First was found by David Naylor and the headline is Great tits cope well [...]

  • Free iPhone Ringtones – No Hacking

    December - 17 - 2007

It’s easy, it’s legal and it’s safe. STOP paying Apple to make custom ringtones for your iPhone! If you think iTunes is the only way beside trying to hack your half-grand toy then think again. iTunes makes you PAY, hacking can “brick” it – but a quiet release of Garage Band will do [...]

  • Seo’s vs. Spammers (Cowards)

    January - 29 - 2007

Doorway pages that redirect us without explanation, synthetic pages auto-generated by software, pages like toilet paper containing nothing but links, pages without exits except an ad to click, pages with ads disguised as menus, pages containing long lists of every conceivable search query but no information.
The only thing these web pages have in common is [...]

  • Denver Now Calming Down from Creepy Black Helicopter Scare

    June - 23 - 2008

Last week while scanning logs for this blog I saw something odd, a large number of hits for search terms relating to “Denver” and “black helicopters”.
I had no idea that military exercises were taking place over downtown Denver in preparation for the DNC convention at the time but the people let me know via my [...]

  • Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR)

    May - 13 - 2009

I’d like to touch on the Indianapolis Board of Realtors (MIBOR) issue, where they have mislabeled Google as a scraper site, tomorrow on FrankySpeakingTV.
The webcast is loosely centered around real estate but often deviates to other topics.  I’ll be a guest on the show talking about SEO. Combining real estate and SEO on this show [...]

  • New SEO Website Launches Into Space

    December - 2 - 2008

The site that we don’t talk about was kicked off early on Monday and wow – I got a bit overwhelmed.
Over 3,200 page loads.  (The number of uniques were already anticipated)  Granted, the number isn’t earth shattering for a site like that but keep in mind the small member base.  Also considering day one of [...]

  • Nothing To Do With Denver SEO

    April - 30 - 2009

.. but it’s beautiful.  And, it works in the snow.

I’ve always been a fan of American muscle and that’s becoming difficult as we nationalize everything a la Chavez and Hitler. But, BMW still strikes something in me though.  X6 – Twin turbo V-8 snowmobile.
Why do I need this?  Well, I ran over my own bumper [...]
