When SEO’s Get Bored

April - 12 - 2007 Share

Many of “my kind” work at night. The reasons are many. I’m pretty lucky though for we have a couple 24 hour Starbucks in town.

Yes, I need to hit the highway to get there, and that’s fun when I grab the right keys. Tonight it was not fun.

This picture is AFTER I put the wheel BACK IN the tire – a fun puzzle.

FINALLY – the snow is gone and the sand pretty much cleaned up so I hit the gas on the on-ramp.

Now, my time of “badgeing out” has certainly expired in most jurisdictions so I know that’s not why the cop that saw me hit 80 when my rear tire shredded just watched and didn’t ticket me – he was amused.

So he laughed and otherwise irritated me while I changed a tire on the side of the road. The amount of smoke was surprising and the cop lights bouncing around made onlookers think there was a pretty bad accident ahead.

When I finished he said “guess everyone loses a race at times, but you were alone” lolol

Hardy-freakin’-har.

That’s an expensive coffee.

  • Real Estate SEO Ugliness and Libel

    January - 28 - 2008

Sloppy and unethical SEO’s are walking a fine line between competitive SEO and committing crimes. I’m getting a lot of queries for some terms that most wouldn’t see on this site for the posts containing those words are now deep inside. I’m also getting a lot of hits from known ip’s that are watching and [...]

  • Fight Club Thanks a Couple Real Estate Friends

    November - 28 - 2008

First of all, I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!  I was lucky to enjoy two dinners today, one with my family and another with my sidekick and friends. Second, I know I’ve talked about Fight Club (and that’s a bad thing).  So, the day before launch I’d like to thank some friends that helped [...]

  • Sarasota MLS Victim Speaks on Domain Hijack

    October - 28 - 2008

The victim of the Sarasota MLS domain snatching by Helen Sosso and her ASSociation of REALTORS has spoken out.  Marc has listed the time line of events so world understands, without SAR-Spin the true events of this theft. Good job Marc!  Just the fact that you will address this publicly shows where your ethics truly [...]

  • Video On WordPress – Zero IQ Solution

    October - 20 - 2007

I’ve talked to many about video and websites, WordPress and how to put it all together. Many people have discovered that embedding a YouTube video to their WordPress blog theme can break it up. True. Though fixing it in the code view of your article is one solution, there’s great little plugin that will do [...]

  • Denver MLS for Real Estate

    December - 11 - 2008

I’ve written a few posts about the MLS and have found myself ranking for Denver MLS in search engines, about page two (never written about that one).  I’m simply writing this little post to see how competitive the result is in the Denver area. Real estate is typically pretty competitive, and the top results are [...]

  • Another Babe Clone

    January - 5 - 2007

I wrote a silly article in November about using template pics for a website, and how they can hurt you when it comes to trust on the internet. Well, I found her again, not my favorite customer service babe, but she’s getting very popular. This one is from a real estate service – this chick [...]

  • Denver Survives Weather Without Crying

    January - 8 - 2007

I didn’t write this, it came to me in an email floatin’ around and am compelled to share it – credit to the unknown author. Weather Bulletin – Denver Up here, in the “Mile-Hi City”, we just recovered from a Historic event-may I even say a “Weather Event” of “Biblical Proportions” — with a historic [...]

  • Web 2.Oh-My-God

    November - 13 - 2007

More and more as we work and play services and toys are netting together with web technologies that weren’t in existence at the turn of the millennium, under your nose and in plain sight. Just as we voluntarily accepted the carrying of GPS locators (cell-phones) we are also volunteering our personalities. Would you have done [...]

  • Denver SEO Shoots Straight

    October - 4 - 2007

Going back to what I do, I’m an SEO here in Denver. I was asked today about my little tagline I use in email: “A Denver SEO That Shoots Straight” I used to have and here it is. It’s a play on words. In my former life I was an officer. Today, I’m an SEO. [...]

  • More Reasons To Boycott Qwest?

    April - 21 - 2007

Though many have boycotted Qwest in the past, there’s even more to the reasoning than before. Sure, the former big-wig is now facing 190 years in prison, but that doesn’t help us. Sure, Denver residents still have to put up with their over-sized neon blue sign on our tallest building. BUT, you shouldn’t boycott them [...]

  • Free iPhone Ringtones – No Hacking

    December - 17 - 2007

It’s easy, it’s legal and it’s safe. STOP paying Apple to make custom ringtones for your iPhone! If you think iTunes is the only way beside trying to hack your half-grand toy then think again. iTunes makes you PAY, hacking can “brick” it – but a quiet release of Garage Band will do it for [...]

  • Denver in 3D – Google Earth

    January - 6 - 2008

Found this video showcasing Google Earth and Denver at coloradoblogging.com. It’s pretty cool, shows our home (well mine) and I thought it was fun to play around with Google Earth again, it’s addictive.
