Another Babe Clone

January - 5 - 2007 Share

I wrote a silly article in November about using template pics for a website, and how they can hurt you when it comes to trust on the internet.

Well, I found her again, not my favorite customer service babe, but she’s getting very popular. This one is from a real estate service – this chick has so many jobs!

  • No Anchor Advantage

    July - 18 - 2007

As a gift to readers (some have noticed) I have the infamous “no-follow” tag removed from comment links to reward those that comment. My viewers are a shy bunch for they rarely comment. My logs show that I’m pushin’ close to 0% – then I compare that to the actual email I receive from here [...]

  • Seat Of Pants Web Development

    March - 4 - 2007

Plan your website BEFORE you build it. Before you tweak a template or a line of code, draw up a clear set of goals. Is this a business or personal site? Are you wanting pure traffic or a committed community? Is the site mainly being built to pass links or intended to attract them? Is [...]

  • Create iPhone Web Apps With Knox iPhone Template

    August - 20 - 2007

(The templates DO WORK with the new iPhone 4 and newest iOS and ‘droids’.) If you want to create a web app for your iPhone or port a current site that actually looks and behaves like an actual iPhone app, then look no further. Two ways to build iPhone webapps: Code it with a template [...]

  • iPad Works For Web Guys – Closer to Laptop Than SmartPhone

    June - 8 - 2010

First of all, the iPad is NOT just a big iPhone as droid fans and those who don’t have an iPad may say. This device, with a few apps and familiarity with the iPhone interface is closer to a laptop (for me) than it is any smartphone. To evaluate it and see if it’s a [...]

  • Always PAY Your Graphic Artist

    March - 25 - 2007

So, I’m building a site about Shiba Inus. (those are dogs) I have a shiba, great dog. His tail really is his signature. I AM NOT an artist, but my friend is. So, naturally I asked him to draw a picture of a Shiba Inu and to get that signature tail in it. Here’s My [...]

  • Cheating Online Bites You Back

    March - 23 - 2007

Today I’ll talk about email, privacy and the gut dropping feeling people get when they get “caught” by their spouses. A woman contacted me freaking out because her husband “found” some personal email of hers. The messages were harmless out of context, but did bring things into a fair perspective when coupled with behavior. She [...]

  • Rick Barber An Arrogant Jerk

    February - 26 - 2007

Rick Barber is a radio host and airs in Denver in the middle of the night. Beside the other show that caters to UFO stories and the paranormal at that time, Rick caters to self-anointed intellectuals, and has a couple of co-hosts (regular callers). One of the co-hosts is great, you can hear a door [...]

  • Moving On

    May - 10 - 2007

I rarely retract the truth, but am withdrawing this article because of the ethical choices made by the article subject. Everyone makes mistakes, and I’ve needed 2nd (3rd, 4th, 5th…) chances too. All comments from before are off as well. Thanks diggers, let me know if you ever need recip. In case you’re here to see something [...]

  • Your Image & Your Website

    December - 16 - 2006

Businesses, institutions and governments all use the same tools and broadcast media – the buildings, logos, websites, brochures, press releases and speeches – all to convey their “image”, their “brand”. Individually and collectively the difficulty begins when we cross the line of believability – when that image we have for these businesses and individuals are [...]

  • New Ideas Stifled In Business

    December - 18 - 2006

Most businesses love “best practices” and manuals. These written standards are orderly, rational and logical. They have been tested and proven. They’re great because they give a team the sense that everyone is “on board”. In the end – they are “justifiers”, a book to blame when a goal isn’t realized, a safety net for [...]

  • The Website Is Down

    December - 9 - 2008

A friend of mine in Louisville sent me a video today that just had me rollin’ in laughter.  For anyone working on the net this will crack you up.  The number of little jokes, nerd humor, frustrations and client assumptions are amazing.  This poor guy can’t even play Halo without getting interrupted. Thanks Scott!

  • Apple Does It Again With iPhone!

    January - 9 - 2007

Apple always amazes us, they have stated that they aren’t computer or software manufactures, but innovators. Apple announced the long rumored iPhone today – and it blows away the dreams of mac fans. The iPhone is revolutionary. Integrated is a widescreen lcd with over 160 pixel/inch (that’s likely twice the resolution of your monitor) and [...]
